College: Suffolk New College
At Suffolk New College, our study programs are designed to ensure you receive a firm grounding in all health and social care professions. You’ll discover the diversity of occupational areas and settings, including their requirements and provisions to work with people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. You will also have the opportunity to partake in a wide range of work placements, allowing you to experience multiple areas of health and social care first-hand or to focus on a specific field if you choose to do so.
We offer a range of pathways into the Health sector, including Level 1, 2, 3 and T Level qualifications. Students with additional needs can access Supported Internships for one to one support as they move from education into employment.
The department has long-established partnerships with local employers, which feeds into the curriculum design and enables real-industry placements for learners.
SNC is also delighted to announce from December 2023 learners and staff in the department are able to benefit from a new Health Science campus (located beside the main Ipswich campus) with access to wards, real world medical equipment and new immersive VR technology to support learning and development.
